I am finally going to take the plunge for onboard air. I don't think I want to convert my ac compressor, well because it still works and sometimes its nice to have ac. Anyway, I was looking at the ARB locker/tire compressor. Seems pretty nice, about 300$ or so with the tire inflation kit. I also some Viair compressors. Don't know much about them. I was curious what is used commonly, what is recommended, where you guys like getting them from for good pricing, etc... Let me know the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks.

 

By far the best option is your ac, it will pretty much only cost you hoses and a tank if you even want a tank

 

If using the existing a/c compressor, how do you know which compressor you have?

I don't see any markings on the a/c

 

All XJ's use Sanden compressors.

 

Can you use a 94 v8 5.2 zj air compressor to do the same and how do you do it just hook hoses up to a tank?
