2000 aw4 in a 95
How fesible is it to put a 2000 aw4 trans in a 95
I can score a 2000 xj for 650 with the head crack and i can use it for my 4x4 swap into my 95 2wd xj country is the wiring compatible? Is it a difficult adaption?

I'm pretty sure you can find an aw4 for cheaper and a little closer to your model year. When you're looking at trans check the fluids and that'll tell you if you're getting a good deal or not. Good Luck!!

the 99-01 aw4 have a second trans speed sensor. to swap it into a 97 or older you have to take apart the tail shaft housing swap the rotor, the speed sensor, change the connector.
