Do you have the regulator feeding the manifold? Do you have a way of accessing the 150 psi from the tank

I'm thinking about doing this for a compressor
and running a line to a tank in the back.

Yeah, I have full access to the 150psi in the tank through the front & rear couplings. The manifold is directly off the tank. The regulator steps down the 150 to 90 for the ARB's and the gauge in the console.

Thanks! I actually stole the entire idea from the gentleman in the post directly below yours. His build thread helped me to figure everything out.

BTW, thanks again for your write up toxj!

I have been thinking about doing that with mine. I just need to look things over and figure out where to tap into them. Got too much other stuff to fix first though.

Still need to setup the manifold to get rid of that hose.
That is CLEAN! If you're going to put everything where the spare was, that's the way to do it. I don't have air lockers or a tank, but I do have that same compressor, which I hide inside the spare in the factory location.

I just converted my a/c into oba yesterday on my '99. I didn't run a tank just straight into a quick connect. Using 1/4" parts and fittings it will hold at 50-55 psi at idle while filling a 30" tire and filled it from 10 psi to 45 psi in about 30 seconds. I tested the volume output on a large air mattress and at idle it will drop to 2psi and fill it in about a minute. But if you rev up the engine the pressure will increase accordingly. 3k rpms filled the air mattress in 25-30 seconds.

Any chance you have pics of the brackets or measurements of what you used for the tank platform? Also, what size is that tank?

This is what I did if that helps. 3", then maybe an inch drop then a 7" tray. It could be an inch or so narrower, as you can see on mine.

Mine is pretty close to the same dimensions as the one above. I made it a little smaller and a little shorter so it would sit higher (kind of makes sense...). The material is 1/4" aluminum. That is a 2.5 gallon viair tank.

I'll get some pics and measurements of the compressor bracket as well. I used the mounting holes that were there for the spare carrier to attach it and mounted everything with thick rubber grommets.
