I'm going to fab up some nut strips but I have found 2 different designs. JCR has nut strips with a bend in the middle.http://www.jcroffroad.com/product/XJMISC/NTSTRP.html FST does not. http://froehlichsuspension.3dcartsto...dare_p_29.htmlis the bend essential?
Thanks

On my 94, only the left needed the bend.
I made mine from 1/4" stock. I cut out bend region and stacked another piece on top to mimic the bend elevation.
Or you could go with much thinner stock which will form itself when you tighten the bolts.
Assuming you will be using the original bolts you may want to acquire a M12X1.75 tap to clean up any nut distortion after welding. I may be a little heavy handed with the mig though.

Mine I fabbed were exactly like fst shows but mine were crude and I just cut the back nut off so I could slide the other 3 on the strip into the frame rail and left the very last nut separate. When tightened it couldn't spin because the square strip hits the frame rail still. I made mine out of some thick 3/16" plate we had down at work

Thanks guys. I'm going to make them with the bend just to avoid headaches. Shouldn't take that much longer. Regardless, 4 Grade 8 1/2" bolts per side is going to be a heck of a lot stronger than stock.
