Not the usual lunchbox locker questions
Hello all,
So I have installed a Lock Right No-Slip in my 8.25 rear and I have some questions.
It never seems to work right. When I start pushing the gas one tire will often get all the power until it engages which feels like quiet a violent event.
Even if I'm on dry pavement when I push the gas the right wheel will take all the power and I have to counter steer to the right in order to go in a straight line. But then if I let off and get back on the gas it will even out.
When one tire is getting all the power on dry pavement it seems fine like its not hurting anything but just annoying. When I'm on something slippery though, the one tire with power will spin and then when it does lock together it seems like its slamming together. And the spinning tire stops which seems bad. And like I'm gonna break something.
When I installed it I took my time and everything went smooth. And the small metal block fit in between on the skinny side but not on the fat side.
So my question is, does this seem correct to you all?
Thanks for you help.

I have a lock-rite in my front Dana 44 and this seems opposite to my experience. Mine almost seems to be engaged full time like it would if it were welded. Would be pretty annoying if I didn't have the Warn hubs to disengage when I don't need 4x4.

Yea and it always seems like its the right side that takes the power first. I wish it would lock right away. I'd rather burn up the tires than have what I do now.

The active spacer tabs were both fine when I installed it. And I did the test of rolling one tire forward and attempting to turn the other back and it worked properly for both sides.

The no slip is the Least noticeable design of Any mechanical locker. This is due to the active spacer/tabs indexing. If you are having those issues, then it is either a active spacer or something in the housing or carrier that is not right and acting upon the side gears.

That's what I had read and heard from others so that's what I bought. But it has not been quiet right. I'll have to open up the diff sometime soon and see what's up.
Luckily for me I'm away at college with no tools or garage and going home isn't an option since its 550 miles away.
