Noob 3 link questions
Ok, I've been looking at different long arm setup's. I was looking at your standard setups like RC, IRO, etc. But after a little research, I'm thinking I should spend the extra money and buy a true 3 link. Is there any reason I shouldn't buy the Clayton's 3 link? I think I'm just going to buy the cross member and the front axle top mount and build the arms my self. Does anyone have experience with the Clayton's stuff? If I buy the mount and cross member, what other parts will I be short from the kit besides arms?
My XJ right now has 4.5" springs in back, but 3" springs in front and 1.5" spacers (sucks). If I go with the 3 link, whos lift spring should I use to get my 4.5" and get rid of the spacers? Which leads me to my next question, how about shocks? I don't want to spend a ton of money, but don't want some cheap stuff that will most likely fail. I'm sure there's some threads going in to detail, but I'd like some opinions here before I drop some money on good parts.
