Change the valve cover gasket. FelPro makes a real nice one.
When's the last time you lubed ALL your u-joints, including the PITA ines at the rear of the front driveshaft?

Any other thoughts?

Resurrecting in hope of pinpointing.
99 XJ 4.0 AW4 - Spartan Lockers- 3in lift
- brand new motor mounts
- cleaned diff and replaced fluid 3 mo ago. All looked impeccable
- all u joints, axles and driveshafts replaced other than double cardon. Felt great and centering ball looked good/felt good
- no exhaust contact issues
- brand new steering box as of last week. Plenty of issues to address in steering but don’t believe it has any relation
-cleaned her up pretty good so I don’t believe any cruds in the moving pieces are the issue
low pulsating growl from about 5-15mph. Drives fine otherwise. Shifts good. Will make the sound even if I kick it into neutral within the same speed range. I would turn up la radio but I feel like it could potentially be more sinister/cause collateral damage maybe.
been lurking for years and always found help with my issues without creating any clutter, but this one has me jumping on board. Hoping you awesome folks can offer some troubleshooting help. Can take pics or videos of whatever. Let me know what you would want to see!
cheers,
Eric
