Default No 4x4 :(

When I lifted my jeep up to 6.5" the vacuum tubes that connect to the axle to engage 4x4 no longer reach. What should I do?

If you have the fork style disco to engage 4wd get rod of it and convert to a standard axle. I believe it's Warren that makes this conversion kit. After this to won't have to worry about the vac lines

cut the tubes get vacuum line that fit tight over the tube and make loner use zip ties to anchor were necessary allow extra for suspension travel if the disco is working correctly keep it less wear and tear on front axle gears and better gas mileage

Go run your POS into a tree. I hope your cherokee isn't your only vehicle, because with your "smarts" you should be making enough money to afford something nicer than THAT.

Or...go to your local auto parts store and get a straight vacuum line barbed fitting and some vacuum line and splice in the amount needed. Cut off a small chunk of the vacuum line to take with you so you can get the correct size.

Thanks for the help, it's nice to have an answer that doesn't come from a "smart-@ss" pc gaming nerd.

No, not if you want information on how to do things the correct way.

dude, I told you what to do...

extend!

what do you do if your garden hose can not reach your garden... get a longer one or extend it by hooking 2 hoses together...

what do you do if you power cord can not reach your air compressor? get an extension cord... or install a longer cord on the air compressor...

I asked my wife the next one and she can not do anything more than change oil, check tires and check other fluids...

what do you do if your car, truck or van has a vacuum hose will not reach a device that needs to be hooked up to vacuum???

you know what she said... "Are you kidding.... get a longer hose...!"

the point is you could have searched...

and you you ask a bone head question you are bound to get a bone head answer...

we have all made the the mistake of making a tread before searching... myself included

You could get rid of the vacuum stuff and install a cable conversion. Another option would be to lock the shift fork into place so that the front axle is always locked (like the later Cherokees).
