Default new tranny cooler now temp is higher at idel??

Well put in a transmission cooler, The good thing is got rid of the leaking cplgs and all the rusted steel lines up front of fan area. Took it for a run and no leaks but it did get hot at idel one bar past 210 i guess 220. It is hot in Texas so mabe with the cooler blocking some of the rad.
I put in the center so not sure if that might be it.
has anyone else had this happen to them.
I have a 95 cherokee and 07 wrangler i can not believe JEEP is so cheep
they don't put coolers on there off road 4 wheelers.

220 is not to bad. Are you still running through the rad cooler first? Is the electric fan working? Is the fan clutch still strong?

Default yes

Yea both fans working fine, I put bottom of cooler to the back line going to trannie pan that is what the drawings showed. Left the rest the same but replaced with rubber hose on the rad, Only have one more leak to fix power steering cplg lis leaking.

Sounds like you plumbed it right. You do add more heat to the rad overall temp when you add a cooler. Maybe your fan clutch is not 100%, does it roar loudly when you hit the throttle. Maybe everything is ok don't over think it.

I installed mine off to the drivers side. Not center. No issues. It is hot outside. At least where I am. 107* with a/c on get's me 210* driving in stop and go traffic.

Default 210 norm

Yea it is norm when i drove it, I pulled up drive way and it went to the next mark after 210 witch is strange. I just started it up again and it held at 210. I put a heat sencer in last year and rad fluid is nice green. I wish i had a better gage. May just get one and replace.
