When installing new shackles and leaf springs, how do you know if you are "torquing" the bolts and nuts down to factory? Thanks

If that is a real question then you do not need to be doing your own work.

Good thing this is in advanced. You set the wrench to a certain torque setting. Tighten the bolt and it will click, beep or do something that will let you know you reached your settings. Or you can get a cheap needle one and as you tighten it the needle will move telling you where you are.

Go to advanced that can rent them. They are the needle ones though. You can prob buy one from there for like 40 or less that clicks

didnt mean to come off as a *****, id love to help, pretty much what 89whiteXJ said, you could probably pick one up from a pawnshop, thats where i got mine, they are easy to use, just adjust the handle to the torque specs you need and go at it, itll click when you get there

Ok so its a little more advanced then just your regular old wrench, got it. And the reason I posted here was cuz it said for after market products, which is what I'm referring to. Thanks you for your help guys!

Yes, it's like a wrench, but with a dial, or a meter on it. I have the Craftsman beam type, which is one of the cheaper ones. Some of the better ones have a dial that you use to set the maximum torque, and the wrench will not let you torque past that... although I've heard a lot of people say that some of the cheaper clicker wrenches aren't as accurate.

I got mine at an estate auction in a big box of tools for like $5.

Nice, well it sounds like a tool I will probably use a lot in the future so maybe I'll just bite the bullet and buy a nice one

its definitely something nice to have, pretty much any suspension upgrade you do will require specific torque specs
