Default New rim and tire question.

~The Deal~
Well i bought a set of 33's BuckShot Mudders off of my boy for $200.
And they are on a 16 inch Soft 8 Silver American Racing Rims.

~The Problem~
The rims are 6 lug, and of coarse my Cherokee has 5 lug.

~The solution~
I am buying a set of Adapters that hook up to the 5 lug and converts it to 6 lug for the rim.

~The question~
The American racing rims are pretty big (Ill post a picture up of them with the tires) Soo they have a pretty big Center Hole, Where the Hub Cap goes? Well On the Cherokee the center hole is a hundred times smaller then the rim center hole. I am very cumfused about that? So my question is Would the rim still fit on the adapter?

~WILL POST PICTURES UP IN A FEW MINUTES~

whats your adapter adapt to? their are alot of different 6 lugs. they are not the same size. your cherokee has 5 on 4.5. you need to measure your rims and find the correct lug size.

I'm guessing it's the Chevy, Yota 6 lug and the center hole is bigger for locking hubs which XJs don't have. You can get adapters and you'll be find just make sure to use lock tight on the axle to spacer lugs and check them often for the first 6-8 months. I found 11 different 6 lug patterns but the most common, mentioned above, is 6x5.5

The adapter adapts to the wheel base thing. You know you take the tires off then you hook up the adapter on then you hook up the new rim. But thats where i am cumfused about all the measuring and stuff.

Plan on spending around 2-300 bucks for 4 and you need 5x4.5" to 6x5.5" (also known as 6x139.7mm) wheel adapters. They will be anywhere from an inch thick and up, less than 1.25 requires cutting off some of your lugs for clearance, so you will have a wider stance and I'd say the wheels have 3.5-4" of backspacing so a good bit wider.
