I just came across this dash part on eBay and thought I would share with everyone. I've always wanted a 2 din radio for the Jeep with navigation. However, the dash opening is a 1 1/2 din opening. The stock Chrysler radios leave a lot to be desired, and 1 din radios don't offer much. And I really didn't like the small "cubby hole" that they use to fill the space. Then I found a new dash center trim piece on eBay that would allow a 2 din radio. So I ordered it. I started looking for a radio then. I really like the Android radios. Found one for $100.00 with 2 gig memory and 32 gig hard drive. Perfect! When it came in I was surprised that the whole radio is only 2 inches deep. This meant very little modification of the inner dash structure. I basically had to cut a small piece of the driver's side mounting for the OEM radio. The kit also comes with special metal tape to seal this area back up. Radio went right in. Now I have an Android tablet with a built in radio installed nicely in my Jeep. Google maps on satellite view is great for off road. GPS is right on the money. I can get a radar picture and weather, my phone connects for streaming and hot spot, and It has a built in navigation map that doesn't need an internet connection. Here are a couple of pictures, please note that I had not put the A/C vents back in when I took the picture (they just pop in)
