For 33's most people keep the front d30 and run a d44 from an old tow package xj or a c 8.25 from a 97+ xj. The popular gear ratio is 4.56 for that size tire.

Well what axles are you currently running? How hard are you planning on wheeling it? If you wont wheel it that hard then your stock axles "should" be fine. If you do wheel you will want a D30 HP upfront and at least a C 8.25 in the rear. If you have a D35 it is usually suggested that you swap it out. If its just a mall crawler then i wouldnt worry about swapping out, waste of money IMO since its just a pavement pounder. You can always get into chomealy shafts, axle truss, etc. Depending on what rear axle you go with you can go anywhere from 4.56 in the 8.25 all the way up to 4.88s with a 8.8 and even higher with larger axles. I currently run stock axles with a D30 HP up front and a 8.25 in the rear with 4.56s and am very satisfied. There are a million threads on this, do a search and you will have a lot of answer and greta advise from way smarter people then me.
