Default New to lifts, NEEED HELP PLEASE!

I plan on buying a 3in lift for my 86 cherokee...I was wondering if I can run it without getting a steering stabilizer, and new sway bar links...please help! I'm new to lifts! Also, am I going to have any problems with my driveshaft being too short? Please help!!

a new steerig stabilizer is not necessary. also, at 3 inches your driveshaft will be fine length-wise. if you have an older cherokee its driveline is less prone to driveline vibrations than newer ones. and even new cherokees very rarely need major driveline mods at 3 inches except maybe small transfer case drops...but to give my 2 cents, i think youll be fine without anything you listed. 3 inches is a pretty safe height. also you do need to re drill the track bar mount or get an adjustable track bar or a relocation bracket because with lift, the axle uncenters

^What he said^ But I do suggest get an Adj. Track Bar they are cheap and then no re-drilling needed.

I recently put on my first lift, I was very happy with 3in. The only things I bought other than shocks and springs were a set of LCAs, and the JK rear brake line (not counting misc bolts I broke, tools I needed an excuse to buy, etc).

You will need longer sway bar links or drop brackets as well. I would suggest a set of quick disconnects which I have for sale. Please do NOT drill a new hole for the track bar. Just buy an adjustable one. They can be had from RE and IRO for a fair price and are much safer

Hey 86CherokeeChief, with a 3 inch lift I seriously doubt you will NEED any of the other items listed. WHEN you move up to 4 - 6 inches of lift, then look at those other items. Good luck and have fun.
