New exhaust and muffler
Hey guys I'm back, and lost again. My muffler is rusting through and it's not going to pass inspection in the great state of Virginia. My Cherokee is too quite. I want it to be louder but not like a Harley, but I want some rumble, not a far cannon, rumble. How hard would it be to replace it myself and what would be the best set up?

There is alot of variables in there (how much you have to spend, laws in your state, are you talking full exhaust system or just a muffler... etc.) . You can buy a cat-back bolt on kit anywhere from 120-400 bucks depending on what brand you go with. Those kits are very simple to put on.
I currently (after ripping 3/4 of my Borla kit off) just have headers, a cat and a Cherry Bomb and it sounds great! I get people asking me all the time what kind of exhaust it is/what engine I have lol. Different states have different laws regaurding decibles so check on that. They usually won't pull you over unless it is obnoxious but you never know.

We have a vendor on the forum who has very good prices. Just go to the vendor section and look for exhaust-related threads and get in contact with him. He can probably steer you the right direction.
