Driveshaft overhaul
So I just got my front driveshaft which I will be using as a rear Ds once I install my lift. got it for free from a friend and I would like to clean it as much as possible before installing it in my XJ. Any helpful advice or tips on how to go by cleaning this sucker?

Just cleaning it, unless you suggest I give it a nice coat of Rustoleum to help against future rust.
And what should I take apart and clean? I want to make this shaft as clean as possible and then put some new fresh lube

The ball joints or your broken zerk?
For ball joints, http://www.harborfreight.com/ball-jo...cles-4065.html is the best money you'll ever spend. For that zerk, just get creative. Knock it in with a punch, maybe?

My only concern is with the cylinder price that the zerk was on. The plastic seal type thing is all messed up idk if I need to replace it or just roll around with it messed up. And I took Ds apart and serious said I need to take it to the driveline shop to get it balanced again..is this true??
