NEED IDEA-4.5 Inch lift
I am wanting to put a 4.5" inch lift on my auto 96' cherokee. I wanna know what exactly i should do for a 4.5" lift and I wanna know if i can fit LT265/75R16, Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 Tire by BFGoodrich (32"tire) without having the tire rub or without having to cut the fender.

why lift it if youre not going to wheel it?
OR, why not trim the fenders if youre not going to wheel it?
I totally disagree with lifting a Jeep if you arent going to wheel it, and also disagree with not trimming to fit the tires you want if you are going to wheel it.

so if youre going to wheel it, why not trim it? If you are REALLY wheeling, you will need to trim pretty much any tire size unless you want to b

Def. shouldn't have a problem with that setup. You should be able to find a kit that includes most everything you need leaving you to only still get a SYE. Which Iron Rock Offroad has a good setup with front driveshaft for around $250 shipped.
If you aren't going hardcore, I see no reason to trim the fenders. I love seeing a lifted Cherokee that still looks stock. I trimmed my fenders when I was still running a BB, I love the looks but their are times I wish I did still have flares. So good on you for that.
I would look at RE or DPG offroad for one of his hybrid kits.
Also, www.seriousoffroadproducts.com is a great vendor to deal with.

Despite popular belief not everyone likes the trimmed fender look. And why knock the dude on lifting his jeep, even if he isn't going to wheel it. Its his jeep he can do what he wants with it. Thats the end of my rant.

I see no point to trimming, unless you like slinging mud dirt and whatever else all over the place...cant wheel with the windows down. And it weakens the shot out of the fenders...4.5" with 32s ought to be fine, might have to trim a little plastic, but not much at all, and not anything you can see.

I like the stock flares too. Trimmed fenders are cool but I'll be keeping flares on my Jeep too since I DD mine as well, doesn't mean I won't wheel it.
There are lots of options for a 4.5" lift and everyone has their own preference, but I will say definately check out Serious Offroad, great prices on Rubicon Express and great customer service too.

"liking" trimmed fenders has nothing to do with it, I dont care one way or the other about how it looks. What I care about is not cutting the crap out of my tires on the trail or bumpstopping to the point where I have no uptravel. Like I said, if you arent REALLY going to wheel it then you wont need to trim unless you get too big of tires, which if you arent REALLY going to wheel you dont need to buy. If you plan to REALLY wheel it, then youre going to need to trim even with 31s on 4.5
