need help with trimming wheel wells

need help with trimming wheel wells
I want to trim the wheel wells of my 2001 XJ. But I'm having a hard time finding a write up. I don't want to do a cut and roll/fold. I want to cut and use some type of "U" shaped trim around where I made cuts. Can someone point me to a good write-up
