My longarm kit will not be done till next year and I know it will affect some of these, so keep that in mind. My lift will remain at 4 1/2" and these are what I still need. Frame Strengtheners (which ones), Skid Plates (all I have are for the LCA's) which ones are needed, any other crossmembers other than the longarm one?
Any other input is most welcome for the underside of my XJ from those who have built several. Or I should say those who have had to buy twice, I really hate that I'm too poor.
Thanks guys for the input any and all info is APPERICATED!

For frame 'stiffeners' I like ruff stuff, but honestly any of them are better than nothing, and they're all pretty comperable.
Skids, transfer case is a must, and I'd highly recommend a gas tank skid if you don't already have one. Other than that all you really need on a cherokee is a decent set of rock sliders and your good to go.

I have rock sliders that will have to be removed for the stiffeners to be installed.
What I need to know is the order to do them considering that I'm installing a Long Arm Kit next year. I don't want to put the cart before the horse and I know some of these should wait till after. I know the stiffeners can go on now, but want suggestions for the ones to use and ones to avoid.
I think that a fuel tank skid can go on now but unsure of anything else for now that will not be in the way or replaced by the Long Arm.

Fram stiffeners:
Really!! Just get some angle iron and mount/ weld them on. Just my oppinion, but why spend money on something so cheap to make. Plus they are overkill ( depending on what you do with your jeep ) I welded in two small pieces of angle iron at the front bumped mount holes. Due to two of the holes being torn out, and I love to pull folks out of ditches, so...... Either way has worked like a charm
done enough pulling with the winch already to know that it's solid. Just tack weld gentally as its easy to burn threw the sheet metal

defintly do your frame stiffners im going ot be using ruff stuff for the center and finding some front and rear plates as well as doing hte inside of my frame rails too. i want this cherokee to last a long time frame wise. then weld your sliders into the frame plates other wise you could rip off a slider and take a chunk of frame with it. if your going to use ruff stuff cut the front 9" off because it will interfere with your short arm lower arm mount. save it and weld it one when you go long arm. find a fuel tank skid and a t case skid. front and rear bumpers that tuck up ncie and tight and are tied into the frame well so you can use them as recovery points nothin glike beign yanked by a bumper and having it fly off!

I'm covered in some of those areas already. Isn't the transfer case skid part of the long arm kit, or am I mistaken?
The only thing I know about the stiffeners are what I have read here and that I do need them at this point, before a problem happens.
Here are 3 photos side, rear, front, on the front I know that I need protection of some kind. The problem I haven't saw quite what I need anywhere or if I have don't know it.
Thanks.
