Need help with how to setup my 98 xj with offset wheels and tires
Attachment 185368
This is mine just getting tires installed. Rims are ION 174 15"X8" with 3,75 backspacing. Tires are Goodyear Duratracs. 33X12.50X15.
All I've done is trim the front bumper flair.
Lift is 4.5 " springs in front with a Control Arm Drop kit. Rear is Old Man Emu 3" Medium duty springs with a 1.5" lift shackle. I am putting some low profile shackle relocation brackets some time soon.
Kinda funny but the whole shop got involved in installing my tires. The guys all got their phones out and had someone take a picture of them sitting in the drivers seat.

I've wanted another one ever since. I've had about 10 4 drs and actually had a 98 and 99 from Florida when I spotted this one.
The guy had it in on Kijiji (owned by EBay and really popular in Canada. Much better than Craig's list)for only about 6 hours. I bought it the almost over the phone. I drove 2 hours away to get it. Not bad for $1900 only cost $200 to safety. Needed ball joints and a brake line.
The only off-roading I've been able to do is around the home construction sites to see how well the suspension works.
Going fishing soon! we'll see how off road I can get.
Kinda glad I've come across this thread, and first post to the forum lol but my 99 xj has 3" zone off road with 2" couplers and 2" drop shackles so sitting roughly 5". I have just the stock cherokee wheels with 31x10.5 tires on it right now. I don't go trailing a lot, but I'd like to every so often. What's my best bet for wheels, tires, and the BS. Still plan on trimming the rear fenders. Thank you for any tips or advice
