The link to the blue ones said no longer available. At least when I looked last.

But you said you can change the halo color, so that really shouldn't matter much. I just wanted something more direct fit, plug and play.

And being DOT legal is another concern. Quite a few things on ebay aren't street legal...at least here in the states. :/

You might want to note that while not illegal in some states, it is illegal on a federal level to put HID's into any vehicle that did not come with them from the factory.

Are you going to get a ticket? Eh maybe, maybe not. But it is actually breaking the law.

The common argument against this is that the box or lens says "DOT approved." However, the manufacturer can put that label on there stating that any portion (the lens, the reflector, the bulb holder) of the assembly meets DOT standards, not necessarily the whole thing.

Yeah, i started to think about it, but then I figured ahh screw it. If anything, i can go with the light shining at a certain place for lows and go from there. If I get a ticket, i will pay it... and wait for the next. lol. I stick out like a sore thumb here anyway, so I will get pulled over for lots of things anyway, just for looking that way. haha.

Also, i claim BS on the laws stating you can only have good headlights if you buy a new car. lol.

Under FMVSS No. 108 Section S7.7 (replaceable light sources), each replaceable light source for headlamps must be designed to conform to the dimensions and electrical specifications for the headlamp source it is intended to replace. For example, if an HID kit is marketed as replacing an H1 light source, then it must match the H1's wire coil filament size and location, the electrical connector size and location and the ballast design for use with an H1 light source (which is impossible since there is no ballast).

NHTSA has also determined that a commonly used disclaimer "for off-road use only" has no legal meaning and is not recognized by the agency as the manufacturer, importer and retailer are not in a position to control use once a product has been sold. Any equipment offered for sale which is covered by FMVSS No. 108 (headlamps, taillamps, side markers, etc.) must comply with the standard.

In one investigation, the NHTSA found that an HID conversion headlamp exceeded the maximum allowable candlepower by over 800%.

Pick up your cards... haha

I really don't know a thing bout the laws over there , but i believe that they make those to void that people abuse the use of their headlights blinding other drivers which is all contrary on the projectors , since they aim the light to the floor with the cutout shield, you wont be blinding any one , this is the only mood i have seen that improves lighting and helps other drivers drive safer, so is a 2 in 1 product , i don't think any one could be that bad to notice that you are doing something good for others and complaint about it..
but that's my opinion...

Poorly aimed projectors have got to be the absolute WORST thing to encounter at night. I live in a rural area and commute to/from work at night only. I don't think there is a week that goes by that I don't get my retinas fried because some idiot in a ricer thought that being able to see 500 feet ahead with daylight like light is his God given right.

On a brighter note, pun intended, it's easier for him to see I decided to drive on his side of the road.

well , for us its the day to day thing , here we don't have as many light post as you do there and the ones that we have never work or simply there is no electricity on that zone , so adding the poor signalization and also the bad shape of the street people do whatever they can to see at night, so almost everyone here uses hid and fogs, on my truck i have at least 6 hids , so you can realize the situation here , we are already used to people using hi lights all the time , so the only thing you can do is use brighter ones to blind them back and make them understand how do you feel , lots of unconscious people here , im telling you if all of us would have a banana in the hand this could easily be the called jungle!!
