Default mystery steering pop

ujoints, ball joints, tie rod ends good all around. linkages straight and clean. took steering box off to inspect spacer. spacer is in great shape. u joints in intermediate shaft good, no fluid loss from steerig box. no cracks in frame. everything is tight

ok now that thats explained im getting a serious, very loud binding/pop/squeek sounds like its coming from
my steering column, happens whenever i turn. any direction at any degreee. i bought this jeep with this noise thinking i could figure it out. it has a 3-4" lift, tcase drop. it looks as if a vehicle would after a body lift. steering column is sitting too high. does anybody know of anything that would make this noise inside a steering column!?

Sounds like the lower track bar bolt is loose or the bushing is shot. Mine did that for a while till I finally figured it out.

^^ This. Check your track bar. I replaced my cheap Rough Country one a few years ago after discovering my mysterious pop was the end stripping out.

^^^^ X3 I agree, had the same problem and in my case the bolt hole wallowed out on the axle mount for the track bar, had to weld a washer in place to fix it.
