Hi Everyone, I recently got back into the XJ game and am glad to be back posting on this great forum. This is my 4th XJ. I started with a '94 that I purchased gently used in 1998. I then had a 98 that I imported from Florida and most recently had a 1999 Chili Pepper Classic. I have just picked up a 98 Limited. Have been doing a few things to get it to it's current point including: 2" lift, 30" Cooper STT's, and replaced most suspension components. Here are a few pics. Any comments appreciated.

I reserve judgement till I see shots of the interior.
Just kidding. LOL.
Looks nice.
But do like to see shots of interiors. Especially of Limiteds.
Seeing how I am turning my Sport into a Limited clone of sorts.
Adding all the options that she did not come with.

Hi Ralph77. Added some interior pics for you. Pretty clean - on the lookout for the driver's seat as you an see. Difficult to find. Have you found leather for your sport? What else are you doing to the interior?

Added Cruise Control, wood grain trim, heated/power seats on both sides, overhead console, and the cheesy tarp type cargo cover that came in the '97 and up XJ's.
Swapped out all my glass for Factory Privacy glass, put in Infinity Tweeters, map pockets on the door panels, Factory tow hooks front and rear, all three Factory skid plates,
Factory running boards, and other stuff that I can't remember off the top of my head
As far as your seat goes I have seen worse. LOL.

I picked these up. They do not match my interior. Mine being Camel and not Agate.
But I run seat covers so you can't tell. Funny too cause the driver's seat heater works. The passenger side was in almost pristine condition
yet that side I had to repair for it to work.

You've done a good job with it. Congrats. Seats look great - i think the darker color seat looks good with your interior!

Oh my! I want it so bad. Those Cooper really make it too. I love my Chili Pepper rig but it's not that Limited and nice.

What you do to get your 2" lift?

Battle, I used simple spacers in front and Crown springs in rear. I have some Rancho RS 5000X shocks on the way as well as the current factory ones have seen better days

Thanks for posting the pic Boogieman. Your XJ looks mean and awesome! You find the Rancho's to work well? I've heard nothing but good things about the newer 5000X version

Thanks. They work as well or better than anything I've run on any of my Jeeps. I had BDS and RC N3 shocks on this Jeep before getting the Rancho ones. They're better than both, especially on the road. I really liked the soft street ride of my Zone hydro shocks, but they discontinued them for some reason. They were too soft offroad anyway. The Rancho shocks work very good for both. They're really popular on the TJ forums.

p.s. I love the look of your tires and I'm partial to red Jeeps. I was going to buy those, but found my Dick Cepek extreme country tires with a $200 instant rebate online. My 33s ended up costing $595 shipped. The Mickey Thompson MTZ tires I run on my other Jeeps were over $1000.

Good to know. I am mainly using it for highway/street purposes so it's good to have real world reviews. You don't want to know what a set of new tires cost up here in Canada vs what you are paying for a set - especially 33's. $595 - double that plus a few hundred bucks to get close - it ridiculous.

How do those Cooper's ride? Are they loud or make that whom whom whom sound on the street? I am looking into maybe a different set of tires for my xj. I've run hankook dynapros at2 tires and loved them.

Codak, they are surprisingly smooth. Very little to no road noise. With the big lugs it will be interesting to see how they wear. On a previous XJ I had the older Cooper STT's (not pro) and they did not run as quiet - they also wore unevenly with rotations so it will be interesting to see if the newer version holds up better.
