My cousin has 305 STTs on his 1/2 ton chevy. After about a year and a half they're almost gone. People seem to like the KM2s though. Another one to look at is the MTR with Kevlar. I've heard very good things about them. If money is a worry, try treadwright guard dogs: https://treadwright.com/

I would use the Cooper Discover STT. Both of which are better then just the common mid grade tire. I do know from more then one local jeeper that they last 50,000 or more miles. Not sure how they work in snow and ice (hell I've never even seen snow) but I will say they do amazing in sand, mud, rocks, and are VERY quiet on the road.*Both tires have a very mean look to them and both would make any jeeper VERY happy. Good luck hope I helped.

10 ply, good lugs for mud, good siping for snow, low road noise and wear. I've had these on for over 30k and they still have over 1/2 the tread. I drive a lot of highway miles and even at 80mph they are quiet. Off road the lugs are aggressive enough to handle pretty substantial mud. And in snow they kick ***. Last winter left us with some pretty deep snow and I never got stuck! They go up to 33's as well!

The Goodyear Duratrac is a great tire, I am considering a set for my XJ. All of the local Police departments use them on their SUV's and Trucks that patrol the Mountains and ski resorts. So that tells ya how they are in the snow !

My cousin is picking up a set of the STTs this weekend so I'm hoping they do OK. I know several who've ran the KM2 and they do well off road but wear fast and are small. His 35s on an 8 inch rim was almost 2" shorter than my MTZs on the same rim. The were narrower as well. With 30psi in them they measured 33 1/2". I'd be mad if I paid for 35s and that's what I got.

My cousins says they suck, but then again they're 305s. My dad's 33x12.50 MTs are like snow saucers. Insane fun
If you're gonna do rocks avoid the duratracs, they'll just get shredded with all of that siping.

Depending on the tire size I Would suggest checking out the Kelly safari tsr's that's what I have and I get lots of compliments on the looks and they do real good. I can go into sloppy mud and be fine. Once I start slipping I throw it in 4 and it just goes.
