I have a msd ignition sitting in my closet. I bought it about 3 years ago for another truck, but I never put it on. My question is should I bother to put it on my Jeep? I have read that the Cherokees have hot ignitions already, so would I even get any benefits from it?

Of course I have all ready put msd wires and a coil on it, along with new plugs and distributer cap and rotor button. I want to know if I will get any more benefits from the ignition?
If you are talking about a CD box like an MSD 6a then yes it will help. The multi-spark under 2k rpm is nice for torque and helps with throttle response. You may get better mileage but not a 'gar-on-tee"."

I put a MSD streetfire cd box on my 91 xj. I love it it was cheap like 200 bucks and it has a 100 incerment rev limiter built in. Noticed a little difference in my throttle response and the rev limiter works great for long areas with mud. (since older xj's dont have one)
