I need to hang the new ebrake cables for my rear disk conversion to the XJ underbody. I don't want them to fall out since, well, that'd be bad. Ideally, I'd drill a hole, weld a nut over said hole, and mount from there. Since I'm no welder, what smart options are there? A small bolt through the body would work... only pain point there is that the bolt will want to spin when I'm underneath adding the nut. A friction type washer like used on body grounds would probably take care of that problem... also, for something like a 1/4-20 thread I can probably make it work regardless. Shoot... I think I'll just do that... nut, bolt, and washers... yep.

I kinda wanted to be lazy and use self-taping type metal screws, but I know. Still, now that I've worked this much out, let me know if there are any simple solutions that my brain is missing.

Oh wow! I’m gonna have to order an assortment of these. The ziptie dealer will not be pleased.

Update: I bought 6 pieces of Dorman 1/4-20 rivet nuts at an auto parts store. Then I got the rockauto version w/ 30 pcs of 1/4-20 and 90 in other sizes in for $9 and small bump in shipping with a longer rear brake line.
