Default MODS CAT TB etc..

Hey Guys i have a 2001 jeep cherokee 60mm TB injen air filter, hypertech power programmer and iat sensor relocated in filter , and 245 tires and i race with a 2001 stock one, which beat my *** from 0-60mph
what do you think could be the problem with mine? i was thinking in removing pre cats and put some headers ( im in mexico and i want this mod only for off roading)

Honesty it could come down to the fact his was better taken care of. There was an episode of Top Gear where they raced 3 different old BMWs I think. They were close to the same year with the same motors but there performance were surprising different. Put on a dyno and see how it fairs to stock HP.

your lifted with bigger tires other is stock and there are a lot of variables that could have made either party win or lose

thats Right XJmike but actually my Check engine Light is on i think could affect, and above 55 mph mine was going lot faster than the stock so im thinking in checking that code

Well yeah that could have something to do with it also I just saw your other post. Your tires are almost the size of 31s and your 5'' lift is not helping either.

Yeah That Right XJ mike other thing was mine had a time running and the other was cooler than mine at least was at 160 instead 210 so next run with my friend i think i will be the winner even from start

It looks like you have a small lift and bigger tires,If you didn't regear to match the tires that could make your jeep slower.

And sometimes you just get unlucky. My XJ was practically babied its entire life, has a recent full tune-up, and still seems pretty tired compared to a parts XJ I bought for $500. The parts one is 2WD, but still goes like mega-stink compared to my DD.
