Modified '93 Ram Assist
Hi guys and thanks in advance for any help. I have a 1993 Cherokee with a 1995 motor in it. It has a 1978 1/2 ton Ford HP 44 in the front and I want to go to ram assist. I'm looking into buying the PSC Extreme Duty Cylinder Assist Kit for a 90-94 XJ but I don't know if it will work with a 1995 motor and the Ford axle? Again, thank you in advance for all of your help!

If your going to buy a kit than call them and have them recommend something. Otherwise other than ram travel, an axle is an axle. The steering doesn't care what its turning.
With that being said, assist can be done for less than 150$ with a stock pump, if you can drill and tap the box yourself.

If you are mechanically inclined it isn't that hard to set it up yourself.

Check out this web page, this mod increases the pressure and the volume of the steering system, but it builds up a lot of heat so think about a steering cooler.
