Default Modification

I'm looking to modify my 99 xj that I've had for about a year now and I'm doing research on the best brands and types of things to get. I'm wanting to get a 4.5-6.5in lift and am wondering what lift is most recommended. I would also like to get a wench bumper, roof rack, and spare tire holder. I also need a new back bumper do to a little rust. Any help and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Wench bumper. For bumpin wenches.

On a serious note what is your budget? You just listed easily 3k worth of ****. More if you plan on getting married to the wench.

If you paid 1k for an rc lift you got ripped. The full 4.5in kit with leaves is like 650 shipped. Of course then you'll want a track bar. And long arms. And sye. And extended brake lines. Although you can get away with just what's in the kit.

The RC long arm kit with almost everything you listed is a grand. Long arms from anybody else is a lot more money.

Well I just plan on getting as I go. Of course I have to get tires before I put the lift on but my little stock cherokee is going to look pretty silly with a winch bumper and roof rack. So I plan on doing the most expensive thing first. Once I get my insurance paid. I'll be saving all the money I make except for food and gas and I've been picking up extra shifts so my budget is pretty much whatever it takes. It's been stock for too long!!

Honestly I wouldn't trust their track bar or the joints in the long arms/x flex arms. They may have gotten that taken care of now though.

I don't trust anything from rc much anymore. Especially track bars and their Johnny joints.
Their shackle relocations arnt bad but I'm going with serious off road long arms when I get my bonus at the end of the year

Have you looked at JCR Offroad? I just got a full set of front and back bumpers with a rear tire carrier, and they are freakin' solid. I got mine with a 2" receiver in the front bumper instead of a winch mount, so that I can put the winch on a removable winch plate and move it to front or rear as needed.

Personally I'm leaning toward the Rubicon Express 5.5" long arm lift for mine based on the reviews, but I haven't done all my research yet. It's still a work in progress.

Look into piecing a lift together using all of the best parts from each company that's what it wen doing and I've actually saved a lot of money you can get 4.5 RE coils for $75 when they are normally 230 and their leafs for about 50% off as well because you sound like me picking up extra shifts that cuts out a lot of extra money you have to spend and I highly suggest exploring that option

That's a good tip piecing things together! I'm not so great with cars of jeeps yet. But I will be!! I'm a fast learner. So as soon as I can find someone to help me learn and teach me me all this stuff I will be great!!
