Default Misplaced my back window

Yesterday on the trail I lost my back window.Opps haha. I'm thinking about getting a window from pull a part or getting a sheet of plexyglass. Its mainly my wheeler but also my DD in the winter. What are the pros and cons of plexyglass?

Depends on what type you get. Some plexiglass has to be cut like regular glass. That type is good and hard but unless you know how to scortch it and then break it without messing it up, its hard to get to the size you need. Other styles can be cut with a saw. That would make it easier for you to get into the shape you need but that style is softer and easier to scratch.

Pros- nearly indestructable
Cons- scratches easily, no provision for defrost(big problem in winter), flat whereas the glass is slightly convex so it looks a tad different.

I had plexliglass in my rear window for a few months, I only did it cause it was laying around.

Scratches when you clean it, turns yellow from the sun, long sharp edges when it breaks. And a piece the same thickness as your glass so it will seal in the rubber probably more $ than a used glass.
Picked up a complete rear hatch on Craigs list for $50, Popped the glass and seal out and resold the hatch for $30.

Ive put scratches on plexi with a coarse scrubber brush cleaning it. I'd just put another glass in if its a DD. Otherwise.. I might would try to make some kind of removable back glass setup if it were me. Of course, im one who loved the roll down backglass in my k5

after running plexi windows and windshield on a race car awhile back....NEVER again.

will scratch easier than you think, and vision will slowly get worse and worse.
