Default Mini stroker?

Ive been looking into a rebuild kit for my engine. I probably wont be doing it any time soon but my friend said to just stroke it if I was to do that. I didn't really want to and have to use a higher octane gas but I would like more power. I saw online 4.2l mini stroker. Now is there any one making a kit to do this? If I were to do it what octane gas should I use with it?

If your decision to build an engine depends on a 10-20 cent difference in the gas you use then it's probably not a good idea for you. You're either all in or all out.

X2!

Octane is dependent of DCR and Altitude. I will be running a 9.7-1 SCR with 8.8 DCR And will still able to run 85 octane on my stroker... but will run 87 min. (I am at 5000ft)

There are lots of ways to alter your DCR to fit your needs. But building a motor takes time and research to best fit your needs. its not cheap, one thing leads to needing another which needs another ect...

Normal stroker recipes

look at the compression ratios of Mini vs Normal Strokers... they are similar, so fuel octane requirements are about the same, you will jsut have less displacement. You also need adapters/machining if installing into a automatic from what i have read...

I'm not not considering it now but if I went with bolt on things like:
-Jeep liberty injectors
-62mm throttle body
-cold air intake
-headers
-plug wires
-distributer
-high flow cat
I think I could get into the 230 hp range and I could use the parts for a stroker if I decided to go that route.
