Anyone ever used a mini spool for a locker? Bad or good? Just curious about how well they work and if i should throw one in my 8.8 when i hit up Moab in the summers. Thanks

What rear do you have in it? if its a D35 I wouldnt think of it...But I see you have an 8.25 and its probably 27 spline so you should be ok...for a while but with those MT Baja 35's it will be close. IMO...Tj

ive heard a few cases of mini spools breaking. I would at least say that it would bea better option than welding the spiders

Mini spools are great cause you don't need to adjust you gears to put them in. They aren't as strong as a full spool but I don't think you will break one unless its a defect or running large tires on pavement.

I wouldn't run one on the streets unless you like drawing attention to yourself and buying tires.
