So with me not wheeling my 96 xj as much as i used to i had the wonderful thought of swapping the tranny out for a manual ax15. I've done some digging on the swap itself but i can't find anything about the ecm/pcm and harnesses. I do have a 1996 cherokee, will i get any codes or issues if i keep my current ecm/pcm (for the auto tranny)? Do i have to swap harnesses? I really don't care for a shift light as my first jeep was a mj with no shift light or tach, kinda taught myself to shift by rpms.
