Major Alignment Issues
I have a 2001 Cherokee Sport with a 4.5 inch Rusty's lift, 305 85 r16 Goodyear Wrangler MTRS with kevlar, Rusty's crossover steering conversion, and quite a few other mods. When i first got my Jeep i becked into a large stump pulling someone out and my offroad bumper was so strong it pushed through my Jeep. In the back right wheel well the frame is cracked and bent. I am in the process of trying to have that repaired but i am too scared to even drive my jeep down the street and here is why; when i go forward the front tires lean in at the bottom and out at the top. When i go in reverse they lean out at the bottom and in at the top. its a very noticeable movement and it has been ripping my tires to shreds. i replaced the hubs and breaks when i did the cross over steering conversion. What could be causing this? Ball joints? Or is the axle rotating or could it be the axle house itself is twisted? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou.

Rule #1 of any problem diagnosis is FIX the Know problems First, then Diagnose. Replace any wornout parts. But until you address the broken Unibody/Frame Nothing you do will really fix the problem.

sounds like the toe is way off. did you align it in any manner when you did the crossover steering? toe will pull the tires and give an illusion of bad camber. (even though toe does affect camber because of castor angle)

i should have some pics up before the end of the day. i had set the alignment when i did the steering conversion but no matter what we couldnt get the toe better than 1 1/8 inch off from where it needs to be. im about to get the frame fixed but with the front axle the way it is i cant even drive my jeep safely to the shop.

sounds like you need to get it towed there bud. You definitely have some frame issues that need to be straightened
