Default Magnaflow or Flowmaster?

Two choices: Magnaflow Performance or Flowmaster Super 44? Which one sounds better vs. does better? Personal preference/experiences? Thanks!

I'm running the Magnaflow and couldn't be happier. It has a nice growl at idle and low rpm. There is little to zero drone at highway speeds...my tires make more noise heard in the cab than the magnaflow does.

I suggest listening to it in person (not youtube) and then decide for yourself. if you can't do that, try and find high quality videos on youtube. I have the Flowmaster Super 40, not sure how it compares to the super 44, but I'm using all stock piping, so it could be better, but its an improvement.

Okay well what have you got as far as a cat/headers go? I've heard of alot of people going with a Magnaflow but they all have a Magnaflow Cat as well...

I have the flowmaster 44 2.5" muffler and tailpipe. I chose FM only because i like the growl a little more then the magnaflow from what I heard on various jeeps.
According to a lot of the reading I have done performance gains are near identical.

I generally MUCH prefer the sound of magnaflow over flowmaster. Just my opinion.

Oh and on my xj I used a Magnaflow cat with a Flowtech Raptor turbo muffler. I like the sound and the muffler was dirt CHEAP. It's got a similar sound to the Magnaflow and Flowmasters but I can't speak for durability as I've only had it for a month or so... seems well built though. It took some time to get broken in before it started to sound much different from stock.

I prefer the Magnaflow. The exhaust doesn't need to be loud and obnoxious to get increase flow and performance.

I rock the mangaflow and love it. Its not loud but you know it's there. Friends say it has a nice growl but I'm always driving it. I just have header and 2.25 pipe all the way
