LP vs. HP when lifted
I've currently got the stock HPD30 in my '99, but just picked up a complete LPD30 out of an '01 that is already stuffed with 4.56's for a price I simply could not refuse. Now that I've had a couple days to let my impulse buy marinate, I'm starting to wonder if I didn't just waste my money... Can those of you running LPD30's give me some feedback on your issues or success running a 4-6" lift and a stock front driveshaft? I'm not overly concerned about the strength difference in the LP vs. HP, but more about the angle and length of the front shaft with my current lift setup.

I ran a lp44 for years. worked fine at my lift height (about 4") anything taller And it would vibrate (I just drove on the street with the hubs unlocked) playing in rocks I cracked the u joint keepers off the pinion yoke maybe once a year. I always kept a spare with me though.

Exactly what I'm worried about... Vibs and the yoke. With the HP, the yoke is tucked up nicely above the LCA's which act as "ramps" and protect it, but I can envision the LP hanging on plane or even slightly below.
