I installed a 4 core rad in my stock Cherokee. The clutch fan is just too close to the rad for comfort. I could go electric but I would like to stick with a clutch fan. Problem is I cannot find one that will work for the 89 Jeep 4.0L. its a reverse fan so this is the catch.
Does anyone know of a supplier that can provide one? it needs to be less than 2.5 inches (profile) Hayden makes a clockwise version for later Jeeps but I don't see one that goes counterclockwise.

Why not just move the radiator forward? Literally drilling 4 new holes - 2 on the radiator support and then 2 on the front crossmember?

Depending on where the fan hub is on the bearing shaft you may be able to move it back a bit with a press, you'll probably not get much though and you will likely need to trim the backside of the studs. Otherwise you might be able to find a lower profile clutch (after market) or fab up a solid mount for the fan.
