I absolutely love this thread I've been reading over it the past two days. Just a quick question I love the look of the 2.5" lift and 37's combo, but I was looking into possibly keeping stock height and running 35's on the xj I just picked up(a build thread is soon to come) Has anyone had any luck with this? PS I am new to CF and I can't get over how much helpful info is on here.

One guy on here ran 35's on a 3" lift and hated it enough to go up another 1.5" if I'm not mistaken. But hey, to each their own.

The problem is you're running on your bumpstops when your that low..

Very good points haha. I guess I will need to experiment on how much is the minimum I can get away with to still have some level of comfort. I plan on running full widths on it as well as an fyi

Fitting a dana60 under a stock xj would be quite the feat. a fullwidth 44 can be shoehorned under there however.

Trim as much as you can, then bumpstop until they don't rub, then lift until you have enough suspension compression to be happy.

i have ran 33's on stock suspension before, and 37's as low as 2.5" both setups had very little uptravel, but worked awesome in the rocks and on the technical stuff.

i need help on setting up my jeep i just bought and installed 33x13.50s on it with 2.5" lift how much should i trim to get good flex room?

flex, find where it rubs, trim, flex, trim, repeat

And bumpstop.

I don't recommend going past the pinch seam on the rear fenders - makes for a bad time

Hey guys I had a couple of questions. I will be buying a 3inch lift along with some 33 x 12.5 tires here in the next month or two. I plan on getting 10 inch travel shocks as well as buying bump stops that are two inches longer than stock which will equate to less up travel but more droop. That will work right because from what I've read that is what your supposed to do. Also I should be getting the 2 inch longer bump stops front and rear correct? Since I'll be running more droop I'm thinking the stock brake lines aren't going to be long enough? Any suggestions for some cheap brake lines that are longer? Again, I'll need them for the front and rear right? And by cheap I mean I don't care if they braided, rubber is fine with me for now. Thanks fellas!

Yes you'll need longer brake lines.

You can order some nice brake lines from Crown automotive based of off different lengths.

Thanks! Where exactly can I buy them based on length? I looked them up on the website and they didn't say anything about the length so I'm assuming they are the stock length?

Never mind I have found some extended brake lines. What about bump stops though. I figure for the rear I could just make something to extend the bump stop but what about the front?
