Looking for some imput
Heres my delema, im sitting on 4.5 lift right now with 32's, i like to off road an do all kinds of fun things with the jeep, an was wanting to go with maybe a 33 tire an use some flat style flares. But now i see myself wanting a 6.5 lift an maybe 35inch tires becasue i dont wanna be that guy on the trail that cant hang with some of the other people i wanna be able to do most everything they do. Now i do realize they are really modifed jeeps and what ahve your but just looking for opinion here on what your guys thoughts on a bigger lift, or stay at what i have.

This may not be what your looking for but I have been places with minimal lift where normaly should not have been. Wheeling is not just about lift etc. Experience and knowing how to drive plays a big part

I agree with Cball, wheeling has more to do with driving than lift. I wheel with a bunch of guys on 35's and I roll with em on 31's, granted I work a little harder, but I keep up. The only real good reason I see for lifting more is if you find yourself running trails where your beating the **** outta your undercarraige, in that case you might wanna take it up a bit.

So stick with the 4.5 lift an maybe run some 33 an cut out flares, I just don't wanna have to work as hard thats all, I mean I ran what i had an had some ground clearance issues an limited to my flex without destroying my fenders

Stay with the 4.5". If you want 35's go for it. You don't need more lift though. There should be .no reason to have 10" lift on an xj unless all it sees is mud.

Agreed 10" is not a good idea.I wheeled with guys with 35s and 37s when I was on 33s.Being the small guy on those rides made me pick better lines and the result was me going where they went sometimes easier and with less breakage than they usually experienced.Im on 35s now and feel like the 33s helped me learn how to drive. No piece of gear you can buy can make up for knowledge and experience
