Default Looking for quiet, performance muffler?

Right now I have a Thrush Welded muffler with Performance curve Cat, APN header, 2 1/2 all the way back. I have had this set up for a round three months, since I replaced my old 4.0 with a rebuild. I liked the sound of it at first but when I replaced the engine I had a bad AC compressor so I put in a delete pulley instead. Well now that I have to have the windows open a lot since it warmed up the droning is driving me crazy. from about 1400-2000 rpms I can barely hear the radio which is most of the time in city driving.

I am looking for something that will come in 2 1/2 with some performance benefits to it but not be so obnoxious, any suggestions?

Dynomax's cat-back is fantastic and $100 after rebate until July. $150 normally. It's 2.25", but that's fine. 2.25" is ideal for a 4.0. With 2.5" you sacrifice power in the RPM range you need it for theoretical gains up high where you never rev. Having 2.5" system step-down to 2.25" at the cat, muffler, or tailpipe is totally fine if not just right since the exhaust starts-out hot and gets denser as it cools.

I have a Gibson 617201 stainless exhaust on mine. It's 2.5". I wouldn't call it "quiet" exactly, but it isn't exactly loud either. You can tell when you hear it that it isn't stock, but it doesn't wake the neighbors. It has a nice deep tone with no drone that I've noticed.

There's a $50 rebate, and it sells at numerous places for $150; Summit is the technically lowest I've seen, but everyone hovers within a few cents/dollars of each other. 150-50=100

CORRECTION: the rebate is through June 30th. http://www.dynomax.com/promotions/

Magnaflow 18" or larger 4x9 oval. Amazon has them for reasonable prices.
