I have a 98 4x4 xj and I just had the leafs replaced 9 months ago. I'm looking to do a 3" lift soon and was wondering about an add a leaf kit. Is this a good way to go or should I spend $250 more and get the kit with new leafs? I would rather not spend the money considering I just had new ones put in. What do you think?
Can't go wrong with the full pack. I've heard compelling argument for rc.. A lot of improvements in spring rate, etc. But an aal is not gonna ride like a leaf pack and no matter what is gonna sag out on ya, probably within a year if ya wheel it...
Still not sagging.

the truth is AAL are only as good as the shackle angle and the SHOCKS that they are running... that and the spring you start with
mine ride great... has ok shocks and I built a shackle relocation setup... however I started with perfect condition rear OEM springs too...
my rear was a 3" AAL... when it finally settled I had 3.25" so what you are saying is not true, you are JUST REPEATING SOMETHING YOU HEARD ON THE NET... and doing so without any actual experience to back it up...

Add a leafs are crap if you need a list of other people to back me up I'll give it. If you want something that will last and be re useable on a bigger lift years from now get some shackles. Not only that but they are way easier to install then add a sags. Do it right the first time.
