make sure you sub in the 3.5" leafs and shackles vs an AAL. longarms will ride better and flex better offroad. you will probably need a SYE to go with the lift so budget that in the IRO HnT is more than enough for what it sounds like your doing and only runs $200 with the DS.

well if your looking for quality and something that rides great on and off the road . I would suggest Rubicon Express 3.5" super-ride kit , link >>> http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Suspen...px?part=RE6025

You will also need to put a SYE on yout t-case . or drop it with a t-case drop bracket . and a CV rear driveshaft .

Also stock jeep wheels do not have much backspacing and tires will rub . I would also go with a wheel that has at least 4.5" back spacing .

hope this helps you out

that RE kit will not outride a longarm because of the short arms on it. for a short arm kit it rides nice. however with money not a problem why not start at the top and get the best kind of kit out there?

Recommending a long arm kit for a 31" tire doesn't make a lot of sense really.

To the OP,
PM inbound....

Why not? Its only a 4" kit which will look good with 31s.

stock rims would suffice for a 31". Bro inlaw is running 31"s on stock steelys, you can make em rub but you gotta try to do it..

I suppose some might think it looks ok, others will think a tiny tire like that will look goofy under a jeep with a 4" lift.

The other suggestion was a 3.5" kit half an inch isn't exactly a huge difference. Going long arm now also means if a year from now if he want 6.5" and 34s all he has to do is swap coils and add a shackle. Idk its just my opinion after doing mine you should overbuild from the start. with the stocl flares on 31s won't look tiny, with cut out fenders it will.

Short arms on a commuter rig is fine at lower heights. The OP made no mention of future plans either. If his intent is to build a rock crawler at some point then a long am kit can be added then.

He didn't say, so I'm not going to presume to know what he his future plans are.

I run the rocky road 4in lift with OME springs, spacers, and shackles. I ran stock control arms for many years on my 2000 (also a daily driver). After the bushings wore out I did switch to extended control arms (not a full long arm kit). I also have 265x75x16 on stock rims. I had to extend the rear bump stops by 1/2 in due to fender well rubbing and the front by ~1in.
