Default Looking for info on axle seals

Hi, I'm rebuilding my Dana 30 front. It is a high pinon ring set; does it have the 30 spline? year is 94. I'm looking into getting the ten factory outer tube seals. Anyone have good or bad info on their quality. Also can I upgrade my U-joints from 260 to 297 in the hub and knuckle? I do not have ABS.

It's 27 spline. U ll need the 297 shafts in order to fit on the 297 jointd

This. The LATER axle shafts use a 5-760X u-joint. I believe 297 was the old part number.

Thanks, I will count the splines to double check. Someone at tomkin in colorado told me they thought that I had 297 joints already but I could not find a way to check to see, but now that I am opening it up I can count the splines to see if I have 30 spline shafts. If I do not, will there need to be any machining or any thing to fit them or do the slide right in?

are u referring to machining the splines or boring out holes to fit in larger joints? If so, NO

Get proper shafts in order to match what splines and joints u need

I put the Alloy USA tube seals in mine. Fit great and haven't had any issues with them. I recommend those if you haven't already bought any
