longer wheel studs.(Yeah,I know, I'm sorry)
Okay so I have searched and searched. But most of the threads don't go anywhere. I am running disc brakes and aluminum wheels on my 8.25 and I need longer wheel studs. I have heard that people run zj studs. Has anyone done this? I went to AutoZone and the knurl on the zj studs is .621 a stock xj 8.25 is .618 knurl. So I just want to know if they will work. Before I buy them. Also the studs will be going in brand new Yukon shafts if that makes a difference.

The studs need to be for a disc brake equipped '96-'98 ZJ. You can forget the guesswork & just buy studs for the front. They are the correct length.

ZJ rear studs (with disc's) & all front studs are the same length, at least all that I have came across in the yards. Either will work just fine.

I Run ZJ Studs on my 44 with 8.8 Disc's.
They are of course longer and press right in, however, I do believe the thread was different from my D35 Studs and I had to use new Wheel Nuts.

Def get the ZJ ones. I have to use them as well. I have seen online where people say the Rubi TJ ones will work in an XJ but they DO NOT! They are the correct length but the splines are cut different/different widths and they wont go into the hub.

Geez, are we beating a frickin dead horse here? The studs specified for a ZJ with rear disc brakes work just perfectly. I've done it. All the info has been provided including part numbers and folks are still bumbling around?

Lol- yea yea... I bought the TJ ones instead first (several different places say they are fine) as they are a hardened/stronger stud. Just want people to know if they search for "longer wheel studs" on google that they don't work. (I wish I would have found one that did)
