I'm not a fan of RC lifts either. I would do a Rusty's or a RE lift. As for long arm. I've decided on T&T Customs. But there are tons of options.
As for lift height. I think 4.5-6.5" is quite ideal. I'm at 4.5" w 33's. But going up another inch to clear 35's. Which I'll only use off road.
For shaking at high speeds. Lots to contribute to that. Replace stock steering and track bar. Keep aligned.
Check out FrankZ's serious steering found here.

I think best for the money.
I've only ran BFG tires. M/T and A/T. So I can't speak about others.
For liability. I say they are equal. However I had to spend less on my old Toyota. Bit that was a 85' 4Runner. Which had 5xx,xxx miles on it. I haven't got that much out of a XJ

If Rustys is MORE than anything youre looking at then go with what youre looking at. Rustys is the cheap alternative to most items, usually bottom or close to bottom dollar, and IRO is kind of in the middle and a lot of their stuff is quality.

I'm sorry Frank. I mean no insult. I've got many other things from your site to get tho. Besides. I can't afford LA for a while. I need to address issues at hand. Then think LA. I think your steering setup is the best. For whatever that's worth, and I think I'm going to do OTK steering. I know it's more parts, time, and money. But I think I'll regret it later by doing UTK.
Been meaning to ask you if back spacing is a issue w your OTK? I've got 4" back spacing on a 15" rim.

another Q, why do you want a 6.5" lift? Unless you need to drive through deep water, a 4.5" can do everything a 6.5" can and more unless youre going full width and 38s (where it can still do the same and more if youre willing to put in the work to fit them)

You'll be fine with that backspacing and OTK.
