Default long arm 3 link advice

so im at 5" of lift i run 33 at's on the street & 35" muds offroad, still w/ the short arms but upgraded hd ones w/ hd lower ca mounts.i have no complaints about on road ride & handling, off road seems to do very well too. would it be worth the trouble & cost to go long arm 3 link ? btw i already have the TNT skid w/ the long arm mount points built in. this was done when the frame stiffeners went on. what say you guys ? thx

What are you waiting for? The base is already there, do it. It will improve your ride and handling, and give you better articulation. You WON'T be disappointed.

I went from 4" short arms and 31s to a 3 link and 35s. Well worth the effort. Rides better now than it did.

When switching to long arms, what else needs to be changed? Break lines, drive shaft, springs ??? Do you have to be concerned with the coils coming away from the top contact point at full articulation ??

At 4" I had relocated my brake lines lower. When I went to long arms I also went to 6 1/2" height. I ended up using 96 chevy c1500 (2wd) front lines. There was a bracket on them that I removed, ground the side of the block that mounts to the caliper and I had to bend the end of the line to suit my needs. I'm using a mixture of dana 30 and 44 parts with ford hubs and calipers. I think I used an F250 rear line. I'd have to check my notebook to be sure. I pushed my front axle forward 1 1/2"" and had to lengthen my driveshaft by 3/4". Limiting straps can be used to keep the coils from unseating if it's a problem. My shocks are extended before my coils come loose. YMMV

I thought the TNT long arms were a radius arm, not a 3 link? Either way, if you have the option available, there really is no reason not to go long arm.
