Default Long Arm on 3.5 Inch Lift

Good or bad idea? How will adjustment and clearence be with long arms on a 3.5 inch lift? Currently have 31s with tubular short arms. I'm looking for more flex offroad and better on road performance. And if so, does the Rough Country kit hold up?

Theres some kits you can't run with too little lift, in some cases you may need to shorten the arms a little bit or push your axle further forward.

That being said quite a few guys run lower lifts with long arms and great results. However id stay away from rough country.

awesome idea. I ran a long arm on a 4.5" lift for a long time and the kit had been designed for a 6.5" lift. I would call the company you are looking at and try to get ahold of a competent tech and ask them if anyone else has tried to run their kit at a lower lift height.

Go with TnT. Their long arm kit is made to be to be able to be run at 3.5". That is what I run on my jeep.

is that because of how the arms are bent or is it adjustment that allows that? IE where would other kits give you clearance issues and how much is required to clear the arms.

It's the bend and where the control arms attach to the crossmember

And the fact that it's a radius arm. Not having the upper link to run into uniframe and floor helps with smaller lift.

Looks more like 4"s of actual lift over stock but not much difference.

Yea you're probably right. Looks like the same height as mine except I'm on 33s. But I'm sure I dropped a little with the 2x6s.

I hope tnt is worth it, pretty expensive. Are you running shackle relocation boxes on the rear? What type of shackles?

TnT kit is well worth it. I'm running liquid iron relocation brackets and ironman shackles that I cut down.

why didn't you go with the iron man relocation brackets? And did the LII brackets give any additional lift?

Already had both laying around. Didn't use them for any specific reason. They added 3/4" in the position they are right now.

Oh that's not bad, I'll probably go that route. I'm a little skeptical about those sliders they have.
