Default locker in Dana 30

Currently I have a lunchbox locker in my Dana 35. I really like it and its given my XJ lots of help on the trails.

Giving some thought to a front locker as well. Will I gain anything by installing a front locker like an Aussie or am I asking for trouble. Should I just leave well enough alone?

You'll gain a lot. The front tires will now pull themselves through and over stuff instead of being pushed. You should be able to get away with a front locker with the tires you're running. I say go for it, you'll love yourself afterwards.

Do it. Your locked up Dana 35 is more likely to break than a locked up Dana 30.

unless it's the small joint vac disconnect d30. trust me, even with 32 inch tires, it is still a great possibility that in the right condition, it will snap a shaft.

if you have the 242, then you will have the large joint d30 with abs. then you should be fine. but just be aware, while in 4wd, it will act weird, so if this is a daily driver, and you get snow, beware.

just noticed, you're in arizona. you should be fine.
