I use good old Supertech 80/90w. Lol
I use cheap Autozone stuff too, 80-90w also. I figure as often as mine gets changed due to submersion in water and mud its really not worth running good stuff.

Yes, I did think about getting them. My son just got through installing a set in his 4Runner. It has a custom Dana 60 in it and he wheels the really hard stuff and has broken the 4340 chrome-molly shafts a few times, so he bought the RCV shafts, and is really impressed with them.

Pickles, I run the lucas 80W/140 in mine because I tow with it, but I'm in the deep south and it doesn't get that cold here. Let us know as soon as you get it installed. I'm debating between the lockright and the nospin (slip, no-slip). But as always, money is an issue. Do you tow anything?

I tow a single place trailer + snowmobile, occasionally 2 place + 2 snowmobiles.

I should get the locker hopefully this week and get it installed over the weekend, will let you know how it works!

Got the locker installed tonight. So far im pretty impressed! It seems to behave pretty well on the street, feels like a whole new vehicle. Locks up solid when you hit the gas, and fairly quiet when it unlocks while cornering. Money well spent

12:12 am?? You worked late Let me know how it does when you have to climb a hill on the highway while turning. That's my main concern. Did you buy the No-slip or the lock-right?

Detroit lockers, are great lockers, they are among the strongest if not the strongest lockers out there. The only thing is that they are a full carrier locker and need to be setup correctly, because they replace the carrier and bolt to the ring gear, not just replace the spiders like the lunch box lockers.

PS. The Detroit is the locker I'm going to run on my 8.25, but I bought 29 spline 1541H shafts for my 27 spline 8.25, so when I'm running 35s I won't be breaking shafts.

I know, I have one in my 29 spline as well. You know when it locks, but it doesn't make any pops or bangs. Just make sure when you buy a used one, that the paddles are in good shape, or you spend $50 on an active spacer like me.
