Default locked front and rear questions

I have a 1996 xj 4.0 auto with 3 lift and 33 goodyear mtr's. The front axle is a dana 30HP with abs the rear is a dana 35 that is welded(I know the dana 35 is going to explode lol but im running it tell it breaks then getting a 8.25).

My question is how often do you guys break stuff that are locked front and rear with 33's. im thinking about getting a spartan locker for the front, Im easy on the skinny pedal most the time just depends on what my friends make it up before me lol.

Get spicer 5-760x u joints and grind the shafts out to use full circle clips and you will be in pretty good shape. Its not going to be bulletproof, but the way most people wheel will rarely have an issue setup like that.

i beat the living hell out of my rig and i break lotsa stuff, but, no drivetrain stuff yet.
i did blow up a 8.25 that was welded, but that was because a bad axle seal let the diff fill with mud lol

from my experiences D30s are nearly undestructable, besides snapping stock axle shafts but those are an easy fix. i just welded the rear of my 8.25 and i dont really like it for on road driving, but off road i crawl up anything i try now. i am very easy on the skinny pedal though as i am worried about snapping axle shafts. but unless the rest of your setup is built poorly locking the rig front n rear shouldnt increase the amount of things you break unless you start trying obsticles your jeep cant handle.

Do you have D35 welded with 33" and still works?
I want to swap to an C8.25 29 splines because all I have read about D35 were bad things. I'm just with 31", 3.07 and just mud and sand..

I'm locked front and rear. I added chromos to the front with the large spicer u joints for added security. I didn't want to think about replacing an axle shaft on the trail.

Yes my dana35 is welded but I'm not trusting it. I had a dana35 sh¡T out a axle shaft on me about a year ago in a comanche I had it almost hit a lady coming the other way. So trail rig until I get the 8.25
